Asked in Immigration Law for Georgia

Q: having a warrant for my arrest in Canada prevent me from entering US?

I'm 30 years old business man, planning to immigration to US under investor visa.

My inquiry is regarding an incident that happened more than 10 years ago while I was studying in Canada. I got into a fight with a girls and she pressed charges against me. The case was labeled as an assault, no weapon was used and no disabilities or serious harm was made. Simple fight under the effect of alcohol.

I wasn't convicted with anything because I missed my court date, I think there is an warrant for my arrest in Canada, but I'm not sure.

My question is if there is an warrant of my arrest in Canada, can I enter US?

I heard that I wouldn't be allowed to enter US, as a matter of I fact I was told that I will be deported to Canada. Is that correct?

I didn't do anything serious just fight, apart from this incident I never been charged with anything.
