Q: do I need an atty. to reply to a court summons where I am listed on a contract from 2006 with 2 other people ?
Contract was rewritten on May,2011 and I am not on the new contract only the 2 other parties. The first contract was due on March 1, 2011. That was not full filled so they made a loan modification referred to as exhibit B, I did not sign this and didn't agree to any of these arrangements. Thank you.
A: It would be best to have an attorney. Whatever you do, do not miss court. If you don't show up, the court will hear the case with no one to give your side, which typically leads to a judgment against you.
