Q: I live in NJ and my Ex lives in Maine.My 16yr old son wants to live with me in NJ. We have joint custody?

My ex constantly leaves my son alone at home for days, weeks without supervision. My ex has prevented me from visiting my son for my aloud visitation by court order for many years. What can i do to get my son ?

A: Assuming New Jersey has jurisdiction over your son then you should file in New Jersey for a change in custody. You can call me for a free consultation.
