Q: Can I sue my barber for giving me a terrible haircut and causing me mental stress?
I have been growing my hair for three years. As they are really important for me, I and my barber have been taking great care for them. Two weeks earlier I wanted a change so yesterday I went to another barber. After I showed him some pictures of what I wanted, he cut them. But the final result was not what I showed him. He butchered my amazing hair and it will be months until they grow to the model I asked him to give me.
My hair was shoulder length so for a competent barber it would be easy to give a decent haircut. What I have now is not even close to being called decent.
What I have now is trauma and a lot of mental stress. I can't even get out of the house anymore. I want this incompetent barbers licence revoked. Do I stand a chance to win?
A: These case are tough to prove damages because hair grows back. Does it somehow affect your income or other provable damages?
