Mesa, AZ asked in Immigration Law for Arizona

Q: Immigrant, pregnant and married to a U.S citizen. where should i have my baby?

i am mexican and i got into the united states with a tourist visa and a permit to go further than tucson. i am currently married to a U.S citizen, and i am 7 months pregnant. My husband already send the i-180 form 2 months ago for my residency, but he wrote down that i was living in mexico (we thought it was the legal thing to do) even tho i am living in the united states. I want to have my baby here but my permit expired 4 days ago and i don't want it to affect my papers if my baby is born here when i am suppose to be in mexico. what would you recommend? having the baby in mexico? Thank you.
