Q: My 15 year old brother was shot with a 12 gauge shotgun.
My 15 year old brother was shot with a 12 gauge shotgun. His leg was blown off. He was shot accidentally by his friend who was 14 at the time. This happened on the property of a retired sheriff, the weapon belonged to the retired sheriffs son, who is a felon. The friend who shot my brother was his step son. The shotgun also was reported as being bought by said felon, and was sold to him from a DNR employee who confiscated the weapon illegally. Every lawyer in our town has been excited to get our case up until they discover that we are going against an ex-sheriff. As soon as her name is brought up in any situation, lawyers and police alike seem to back off. We have had multiple cops come to the house that seem to want to help us until her name is mentioned. We have proof that the detective on this case was demoted for shoving cases under the rug. We have been through every lawyer, all the way up to chief of police and they are saying we have no case. We suspect corruption.

Sorry to hear about that. You may want to expand the geographic scope of your search to other areas of South Carolina. Perhaps looking for an injury lawyer in Columbia will help you find someone.
