Q: how can my niece get out of ice with a felony charge ?what is her best option to get out please help me.

s spent 11 1/2 months in prison for something she did not do, now she is detained by ice she has been refused everything so now she want to ask for voluntary departure and we found out that she is not allowed to get it ..i don't understand first they wanted to deport her now that she wants to leave to go back home to trinidad they are saying she is not allowed to get the voluntary departure.. so is ice allowed to keep my niece detained for as long as they want too..

A: First you need an attorney to file a bond for her. Second the attorney can file a motion to re open the case and find out if there are any loopholes which will allow your neice to reverse the decision made by the judge here. So, talk to an attorney as soon as you can. All the best.
