Q: im a US citizen and married to a jamaican we filled for a green card could he come back while waiting for it?
I filed for my husband green card after getting married he went back to Jamaica so we can wait out the paperwork but its driving me crazy him not being here. Does he have to stay in Jamaica or could he come back and wait it out? And was it a mistake him going back and filing for a green card while hes in Jamaica? I really need help

He will most likely not be able to come to the United States until the final decision has been made on the application. And without knowing the details of the case it is hard to say if it was a right or wrong decision that he went back. It would have been one or two month earlier if he had been in the US but again it depends on what visa he was in. Talk to an immigration attorney in private. All the best.
