Asked in Criminal Law for Arkansas

Q: In the state of Arkansas, can a convicted felon carry and use a compound bow and arrow, crossbow, muzzle load gun?

What is not considered a weapon that is legal for a convicted felon to legally own, possess, carry and/or use?

A: There are very few attorneys who answer questions from your state on this forum. I suggest that you do an internet search on this and learn what you can, then go see a local attorney about this. You can probably look up the statute right here on justia, or on the internet.

A: The weapons you describe would not be prohibited to a convicted felon under the Federal Firearms Act (assuming the muzzle-loader was designed or built before 1898). However there may be state laws which apply; I agree with Mr. De Groot (Note the footer below, which cautions, among other things, that "... no responses on this forum constitute legal advice ..." ) and suggest that you contact an attorney in your state or do the statutory research on your own.
