Q: My 18 year old son, was injured at work, his employer ask him not to use workers comp. ins. Just say you did it a home,
He is covered under my health insurance, I was wondering can we still turn the injury into workers comp
A: He needs to go speak with a worker's compensation attorney about this.
A: This is something I witness on occasion. This is prohibited by Maryland Workers Compensation Law and, some, consider it to be fraud on the Employers part. Your son needs to speak with an attorney to discuss his rights. This should be a free consultation. There are many time limitations in Workers Compensation but it appears that you may still be able to file a claim.
