Chicago, IL asked in Car Accidents for Illinois

Q: Car accident victim. Lawyer does not seem to be doing anything.

Hello, I was in a car accident on October 6 2015. I was the victim in a head on collision due to the other driver failing to yield. It was witness by a policemen and the detailed report tells how I was clearly not the one at fault. The cars owner had allstate. It wasn't the owner driving, allstate is claiming there was a report to them from the owner that it was stolen. There was no police report before the accident that his car was stolen. The driver and the owner are friends on facebook ( I looked that up myself.) My lawyer hasn't said one word to me since accident about 3 weeks after the accident. And every time I call them I get " we are trying to serve the driver" my question is why isn't the lawyers dealing with the insurance in court? What use does serving a 21 year old drugged up partyer do for my case? I have 40 thousand dollars in medical debt plus I lost my job and car. I'm afraid to look up more medical and mental health help due to costs. I suffered a head injury
