Q: I bought a product that did not have any information on what it's intended purpose was and misused it
I was wondering about a product I purchased. The product was "chalk paint" from Target. We bought the product thinking that it was paint for kids, like paint made from chalk, or sidewalk paint. The packaging was colorful and the paint was too. By looking at the packaging there was no indication that the product was permanent in any way or that it's intended use was for furniture. Well we came home and painted with our daughter on our porch and the following day found out that this paint was permanent. Now we have blue and green drawings on our rented home and my daughter’s clothes are also ruined from that day. We are going to have to pay to fix the cement now because there was no information on the packaging of the product. Is Target liable for this in any way?
A:
Unlikely as somewhere on the label it probably said something like "latex paint" or otherwise, and gave descriptions of how to take it off.
It's by valspar and hard to believe they have nothing on the can about it:

Generally paint on cement can be scrubbed down. I'm assuming it's latex so I would go to a store that sells paint like sherwin williams, ask how you get latex paint off of the cement etc. In the meantime, lay damp cloths/sponges on the areas to keep it wet with soapy water-maybe some of it will lift.
