A: If you want to pay tens of thousands of dollars for an expert witness, deal with very complex legal issues, maximally increase your risks of losing, sure, do it yourself. It's like complex surgery. Do it yourself--without a medical degree? Possible, but you'd be unlikely to survive.

A: Most medical malpractice attorneys offer free consultations. If possible, arrange for a free case evaluation to help determine whether or not there is a case for legal action. It's always advisable to get professional advice in such a situation.
