Somerset, NJ asked in Employment Discrimination for New Jersey

Q: I am frustrated due to my boss miss treating me and fired me after becoming pregnant.

hey, I worked at a nail salon for 9 months, I became pregnant 3 months ago and since i started working there the owner always treated me differently than others. after becoming pregnant and not able to clean like i used to, she talks about how lazy i am to her clients. also tried to fire me because of jealousy with her boyfriend who is also the owner. she also made a comment about my baby ultrasound saying "eww, that freaks me out" she told me to leave and i quit the job due to the point that I feel I'm very frustrated. Can i file a lawsuit against her?

A: You need to retain an employment attorney and the attorney can determine what your rights are. Good luck.
