Q: Can I file for a marriage based change of status/green card if I overstay my visa?
I'm Canadian and my wife is from the US. I crossed the border with my passport and was told that was enough to allow me to stay in the US for 6 months. We are now nearing the end of those 6 months and due to unforeseen delays I might not be able to file all the paperwork in time. Can I still file it if it's a few weeks late and I'm still in the US past my stay?
