A: You asked a very general question. There are certain insurance coverages that provide benefits to the insured person / vehicle under the circumstances of a "hit and run" crash. In fact, many policies have language in them addressing how coverage works for a "hit and run" crash. You should consult with an attorney. A: If you have collision and uninsured motorist then you have a claim. You need to report it to the insurance (I assume you were hit not the one who hit. If you were the person who hit and ran you need to chat with an attorney who handles citations as to how to approach informing the police.
