Q: its in more information

my boyfriend hes adopted kinda by his own family. hes 17. his real parents are trying to get him back and right now he is with him for "visitation". his adopted mom is his grandmother i dont know why but yeah. cps has been called before. and she has been breaking court ordered stuff and alot has gone on since she has had him. i was wanting to know because my grandmother said something, but can he choose to go back to his real parents?

A: This will depend on a lot of things but bottom line is a child cannot just "choose" to go back with his parents; however, absent any official paperwork including something from CPS, i.e. a safety plan, etc. his parents have the right to have their child.
