Q: I was sexually harassed by a client of my employer.
Can I sue my employer or do I have to go after the client?

You should consult a member of the Illinois Assn for Justice who handles employment cases--they give free consultations.
Unless the employer somehow conditioned your employment on the issue, or knew of the client's activities and allowed him to do the harassing on the job, ,not sure you would have a case. Which is unfortunate, because if it's off the job
you don't have much of a claim against the client unless they groped you in which case you have a battery claim.
But get the consultation--there may be circumstances in your situation which might allow a claim.
