Ravena, NY asked in Employment Discrimination for New York

Q: I have filed a discrimination claim/retaliation against my employer , during a conference with the director that

has a current claim against her, informs me that I am being moved to another location and indicates "You won't be invisible" It is recorded, my discrimination complaint stems from 2015 from a different State agency and I was demoted to this position where I am now being discriminated against here. Probable Cause was found in my favor for discrimination and Respondent called my current employer asking to speak to my director, indicating that it is pertaining to a certain person. My second question is I am filing another charge against original employer for interfering with my current position and retaliation and for 10 interviews was told that I was top contender however, when they contact for reference I am being black listed and not getting promoted. What are my options to charge current director for the comment that i will not be invisible? NYS

A: I am sorry to hear about your situation. It sounds like there may have been additional discrimination and retaliation.

You should speak to an employment attorney to go over your options.
