Q: Truck driver turned into my lane causing me to have to drive off the road to avoid being hit by Him.

Truck driver turned into my lane causing me to have to drive off the road to avoid being hit by him. I went up a curve and hit a fire hydrant. The trucker then tried to leave the scene. I then had risk driving my damaged car to chase the trucker down to get any identifiable information on the truck. I was able to get the truck tag and a good description of the truck in which I gave to the 911 dispatcher as a followed the trucker. I then had to stop because the drivability of my car only got worse and worse. State troopers were able to stop the truck 20 miles up the highway. I filed an incident report back in the city where the incident occurred. What actions can I take against the trucker and/or his company even though there was no vehicle contact? Him leaving the scene makes it his word against mine.

A: Him forcing you off the road would result in a claim by the city that you'd have to get his insurance to pay. You have a claim for your injuries, the damage to your car. If there was a camera at the intersection see if there are images you can look at.
