Lewes, DE asked in Libel & Slander for Pennsylvania

Q: A staff member at the on-profit housing program that I am with, made false accusations against me. Can you please help

I have been a participant of the program, for the past8 years, and have forwarded my concerns to the staff members, and have been called a "liar", and have been threatened by both the staff members, other participants, and mon participants, when I complained. They still refuse to address my concerns, and I have filed a civil complaint, and criminal complaint, to no avail.

A: I would recommend that you consult an attorney to review the case in more detail.

A: To the extent the housing program receives HUD funds you may have some rights; however if you have already filed a civil and criminal complaint, when you get to the hearing if you have one you come down to the issue of having to prove something isn't true--which sometimes is tougher than proving it is true. I would suggest you contact the housing unit of Legal services/Legal Aid for the county you are in (Community Legal Services in Philadelphia)
