Woburn, MA asked in Landlord - Tenant for Massachusetts

Q: I had a heated argument with a property manager due to a mice problem in my house. What i need to do?

I am living in an apartments in MA and we were having a MICE problems with our Apartment and we have made several complains yet the issues is not fixed completely. Today we had a maintenance visit at 9.00 AM and they opened up the heater went (with Dead Mice Inside) and left the home to attend some other issues without fixing it back. Since we have a 2 year old kid. i have called up the office twice and asked them to resolve it immediately at 11.30 AM and again by 12.30 i have visited the office asking them to provide prior heads up notification in case maintenance delays, concerning on my family health. But the property manager was extremely rude and started a heated argument with me for asking him about the maintenance issues, i told him that i will sue him if he talks again like this. Now in this position i dont know what i need to do or how to proceed next?. Should i take a legal action for his behaviour? or should i just vacate the apartments?

A: Sue or vacate because of a phone argument? That sounds a bit much. But if they're not abiding by their contractual maintenance duties, then put your concerns in polite written communications to them (e.g., email, a mailed letter, fax). If they don't comply, you might choose to sue or pursue other possible remedies. The best first step is an Initial Consultation with an Attorney.
