Q: I was in car accident, other person completely liable, my med bills are over 32,500, my atty is 30% contingentcy,

He made initial offer at $65,000, other side countered with 34,000. He asked me what to do!! Do I owe him any money if i fire him?

A: See my other answer. He may have been using a manner of speech. If you are reasonably bright, the attorney's job is to tell you what they think and you make the ultimate decision--it isn't the attorney's job nor should it be to make ALL decisions in a case. The other question is how much of those bills are you on the hook for. I will tell you that if most of the bills are for the ER orER plus a hospital overnight and your follow up is for a few months only, your case would be at the lower end injury wise, though they would have to pay the medical bills that are out of pocket or that are incurred by you in the normal course of treatnent,
