Q: We have DNA evidence. How do we connect with a criminal lawyer who isn't afraid. Please advise.

We have DNA evidence that is crystal clear. What can we do? What is the first, second, and third steps...ect. Yes, get a lawyer but who, I've asked around.

A: There are many online forums, including Justia, where you can research the top criminal defense attorneys in Pennsylvania and then make your decision regarding who you wish to contact. Don't be afraid to reach out. If the person whom you contact is not the right one for this particular case, she/he will hopefully refer you to someone who is.

A: First, understand very often the "crystal clear" you have in mind isn't always so in a courtroom. You can get a lawyer from anywhere for the right amount of money. If the persons case has not gone to trial, then you are looking for an attorney who handles felonies in the county where the case will be heard.

If there has been a conviction, you hire an "appllate lawyer"who hanldes criminal appeals. Samuel Stretton in West Chester would be one. If he can't help you he may suggest others.
