A: Run the doctor bills through your insurance. Find out what your injury is. Contact a member of CAOC in your county--they give free consultations. Generally Walmart pays slowly if at all, so don't hold your breath on this one.

A: Contact a personal injury lawyer in your community. Ask that person if they have sued Wal-Mart before. This is critical because Wal-Mart never pays until you sue it, take depositions of employees who saw the fall or failed to clean up whatever you slipped in, and force it to turn over the surveillance video (pretty much every inch of the store is on camera). Recovering money from Wal-Mart is a long haul. In the meantime, have your medical bills paid by your health insurance. Do not let them linger unpaid or in collections.
