Asked in Child Custody and Child Support for Massachusetts

Q: I have had custody of my daughter for 6 years and am currently on child support what can I do?

Her mother file for child support in when my daughter was 2 at which time she lived with her in Massachusetts. Her mom currently lives there & my daughter & I live in NC. I have contacted several people no one seems to be able to give me direction. I am currently paying 100.00 a week in an active child support claim that she is & has been receiving for some time now. Paying arrears for the time period I did not have her is one thing but an open active claim is another. Her mother is in & out of rehab programs & had another child in which dss was involved. I have another son stepdaughter as well and have been finding it hard to support my family, my daughter who lives with me that the claim is for and am in need of advice or to retain a lawyer. I have sent proof, documents, her school records(all indicating she lives with me) to Massachusetts child enforcement. In hopes of someone looking into it. Not to mention the child support agency has been collecting my tax refund as
