Q: my grandchildren are in kinship foster care. kinship fosters want to adopt how do
I contest this and get gaurdianship
A:
First, you will need to visit with an experienced family law attorney, there are too many questions to ask than can be covered in this forum.
The real issue regarding adoption: Is it in the best interest of the children? Do the parents consent, or have parental rights been terminated? Do the kids want the adoption?
Do you have a strong relationship with the children? Have you seen them regularly before and after the placement? If not, why?
If you're just concerned about being able to see the children after the adoption, this can be provided for in the Adoption Decree. Read my first paragraph again, and good luck.
