Baltimore, MD asked in Workers' Compensation for Maryland

Q: Had workers comp. They ended it after the doctor stated lm to return back to work , retured back to doctor months later

And stated that i am at MMI but i need vocational training per doctor do to my injurie being at MMI but not were it should be for me to function at my job and not being able to return to my career, once i start vocational traning will they have to back pay me for the months i did not receive the workers comp benifits from the date the doctor returned me to work ?

A: Once you are MMI you are no longer temporarily disabled so the ttd checks are stopped. Until voc rehab starts there is little if any entitlement to weekly benefits. Depending on your circumstances your attorney may be able to get you paid for the period. If you have no attorney you should consider getting one
