Asked in Domestic Violence and Juvenile Law for California

Q: How do I drop a restraining/protection order against my boyfriend who is in juvenile hall?

I am a victim of domestic violence that only occurred once during the 2 years we have been together. Me and my boyfriend have a thyroid problem in which causes our hormones to react differently and quickly, it also causes us not to control our anger. After the incident happened, I called the police because I had no one else to talk to , I couldn't tell my parents nor my boyfriends. The officer did ask me if I wanted to put a restraining order on him and I said no I do not. He also said I could put an order anytime against him. The officer told me that a detective will contact both me and him and told me I could drop the charges. But I never heard from the detective After a month a a half, he was taken into custody and I was not notified the day of his arrest. So now an officer told me that a restraining/protected order is ready to see if it will be passed. I have a court hearing this Monday, how can I drop the order ?
