Q: If common law couple rents 1stfl apartment from you and one of them dies the other one continues to pay to live there.

So, that fine until the decease son get out of jail on home monitor in the 2ndfl apartment but, decide he wants to move in and take over the 1stfl and physically abused the common law man so he left. The son thinks he has a right to stay in the apartment because his mother was renting there. But, the landlord wants him out. Who has the law?

A: The landlord wasn't renting to the son.

So, he can evict him if he wants.
