Q: if there is no father listed and the bio dad has never contacted him can my husband sign it to adopt him
7 years ago when I had my son I left the paternity part of the birth certificate blank. I got daycare through dhs and they tried to contact the father but he did not show up or pay anything. I got married when my son was 2 and was wondering if my husband can sign it to be his legal father and if he does will he be responsible for the child support that the bio dad owes?

Your husband won't be responsible for bio dad's back child support. It's pretty simple for your husband to adopt IF bio dad will sign a consent to adoption before a judge.
