A: With a warrant, there is always a risk of being hauled into jail, so best to hire an attorney to clear the warrant for you. Furthermore, you need an attorney to represent you on the underlying criminal case, for which there is a risk of jail and high fines and other consequences. While you probably already knew this, your question is quite vague so no more specifics can be given. However, this answer is true for any misdemeanor with a warrant.

A: You'll need to appear before the court to address the warrant, and you should hire an attorney to help you asap. More details are necessary to provide a professional analysis of your issue. The best first step is an Initial Consultation with an Attorney.
