Q: Leased a car in my name for girlfriend, now we break up, she went and bought a new car leaving me with the one I leased

Now I am stuck with pYments and over mileage fees. Can I go after her for what she is nOt paying

A: No, in my opinion. The lease was in your name and she was driving with your knowledge and permission.

A: Unless she agreed to pay and had paid, you were being a sugar daddy. Girl left, now it's daddy's baby. Leases are a tool of the devil. Last time I checked--which was 5 years ago--for a client who became disabled and couldn't make the payments, there is no good way of breaking the lease. Really, they are that bad.
