Roger Carl Algase, thank you so much for your answer about DS-160 ! Is the question about petitioner's income new ?? I will bring the contract, the copy of pay check ( or I can even bring original pay check ) and invoice as a proof. Do you think is it enough ??
A:
Up until very recently the only documentation from an employer that was normally required at an immigrant visa interview was a simple letter from the employer confirming that the applicant would continue to work in his or her current status after returning to the US. Now, it appears that the visa interviewers may be asking for the same type of evidence that the employer has been paying the employee, or will have a job available for the employee in the offered position, that USCIS examiners have often been asking for for quite some time before approving the petition.
To be on the safe side, you may want to bring your pay records for the entire year to date, previous W-2's if applicable, and possibly even employer tax returns, client contracts, customer lists, organization charts, work orders, etc. to show that the employer is really in business and that you really have a job. If your employer is a very large and well known company, none of this might be necessary. This may sound like a lot of burdensome paperwork, but we had an election last November, and no one should be surprised! Of course, you should discuss everything with your company's lawyers first. My comments are only general information.
