Q: Is there a liability cap on the amount a plaintiff may sue an LLP limiting the plaintiff's recovery to a certain amount?

A: If you file in "Unlimited Jurisdiction", the cap is the amount of your damages. If you file in "Limited Jurisdiction", you can recover up to $25k, or the amount of your damages, whichever is less. If you file in Small Claims, you can recover up to $10k, or the amount of your damages, whichever is less.
