Atlanta, GA asked in Employment Law and Employment Discrimination for Georgia

Q: What happens if you break company policy as employee?

So its a new policy where everyone needs ID for tobacco and an elderly woman told me her DOB and I typed it in and she was about to show me her ID but didnt. And she paid and left and I did ask for ID but was nervous and forgot to "see" it.

A: Generally an employee in a private company can be fired for any reason such as violating company policy or even as simple a reason as they just want a change or don't think you are a good fit or a problem employee
