A: Question is where is your employer out of? If your workplace and employer are out of Miss, doesn't matter where the insurance company is. Use a lawyer for the state that is appropriate for the state of your employer's if that is where you were hired from. Suggest you start by contacting a member of the Miss. Assn for Justice who handles workers comp. They give free consults, and will tell you what state your claim --and any contest on that claim--will be situated in. If it's not Mississippi, then you would want a lawyer in the state where the case will be heard if there is a need for a hearing. Contact a member of the Trial Lawyers Assn or Assn for Justice for that state.

Good luck!
