Pueblo, CO asked in Car Accidents for Arizona

Q: I was in a parking lot acc in Flagstaff Arizona on June 16th 2017

I was parked, door open 1.5 to 2 feet(not fully opened yet). Other party pulling into space next to me hit the door. Damage to my car is door edge/fame/ Other party's damage is to the right front corner of bumper/headlite(no side damage). The other party called in claim to my insurance. My insurance company says I am 100% at fault based on Statute 28-905. They did not get a statement from me as I requested, and I was advised by a supervisor that it is their decision to make. How can they make a decision without first talking to me? Any thoughts or insight would be appreciated.

A: Well, you can make a claim with the other guys insurance.

If you have an agent ask them to intercede for you. Second, not sure if that statute applies to parking lots (as opposed to opening your door on a street). Ask to talk to the claims handler's supervisor.

If your rates go up challenge that.

good luck!
