Waldorf, MD asked in Criminal Law for Maryland

Q: If I was the plaintiff in a 2nd degree assault case and I failed to meet with the states attorney for the screening ...

interview therefore the case was dismissed/dropped is there any way to re open the case??? I already have a restraining order against the person but I need to have her charged with assault.

I went to the court house and a lady that wasn't the states attorney for my case said she doesn't know who was the states attorney on the case but "we prosecute people and I don't know who told you to come here but once it's dismissed/dropped we will not re try the person." I do not want to retry the person I just want to re -OPEN the case ...so do u think if I found out who the states attorney on the case was it will peossible to re open or does that just not ever happen ??
