A: Anytime a prospective naturalization applicant has criminal history, that person should schedule a consultation with an experienced and competent immigration attorney who can evaluate all facets of the case, including, but not limited to, the criminal cases. What I would suggest is that you gather, for every criminal case, certified copies of the following: police arrest report; charging document; if applicable, pre-trial intervention or diversion program documents; if applicable, proof of completion of pre-trial intervention or diversion program agreement; if applicable, notice of nolle prosequi or dismissal; if applicable, plea agreement; if applicable, final judgment and sentence; if applicable, proof of completion of judgment/sentence. Bring these documents with you to a consultation with a competent and experienced immigration attorney.

Without actually seeing your criminal documentation and knowing your full immigration history, it is impossible to offer an accurate opinion as to your eligibility.
