Schaumburg, IL asked in Personal Injury, Consumer Law and Small Claims for Illinois

Q: Need to find a lawyer to represent me.

Just came out of small claims court for what I thought was an closed case in my favor against Comcast. The case against Comcast was because during a service call, their service people did something to cause the circuit breaker to trip while I was home at the time and which then after investigating I discovered 2 of my computers, one screen and speakers had been damaged after the circuit had blown. Comcast claimed by email which I presented that the cause of blown circuit was do to a faulty outlet. I had an electrician look at and in his invoice states that all outlets in my home are in proper working condition. The judge said I did not present proper evidence to support my case. I don't understand.

A: Some DJ's feel you need an expert report from the computer people to say what caused the computer to malfunction.

File a complaint with the AG's office of consumer affairs. You can file an appeal of your case within a set period of days, but trying to hire an attorney looks to be a losing proposition.
