Q: Theft by receiving
I am the owner of a commercial painting company me and some of my 1099 subcontractors where in Arkansas and the police showed up to our hotel they asked me to step out they informed me they where investigating a theft I had no clue as to the incident they where referring to they asked to search the 2 rooms of which me and my guys where occupying I gave my content to search at that time there began there search they did fond stolen property in three of my guys luggage. They then detained all suspects not me once we got to the police station they put me in an interview room a detective came in read me my right and began questioning me I told the detective I had no clue that they where stealing if so I would have contacted the police after giving that statement she spoke with all other party's involved and she told me that no one is talking and since no one is talking they have to charge every one. Because I was occupying one of the rooms I am responsible sounds like trumped up charges?
