Petaluma, CA asked in Criminal Law, Products Liability, Traffic Tickets and Car Accidents for California

Q: Someone has been tampering with my vehicle. I know who. But no hard evidence. What's should I do?

He may have stolen my Faab key. It's missing. My mileage has gone up when I've been gone for 2 days. It was only to be driven in the case of an emergency such as fire or in the way of emergency vehicles only. I have pictures of the battery being moved completely out of place. I checked oil 2 days ago before I left. The car was perfectly fine. The battery in the correct spot. I left the keys at my friends with my friend for emergency only. He's removed and moved and replace fuses in my vehicle. I need face to face contact with a lawyer in private to better explain. I am homeless and living out f my vehicle where my so called friend comes from money and it's perfectly housed and provided for. He's also stolen money from while I was sleeping. He's tampered with my vehicle before and wouldn't let me see the security system footage and magically accidentally erased all the feed. Now only when he found out I was leaving for a couple days, he disconnected the outside cameras that have my car

A: call your local police and present them with the evidence you have generated to see if it is enough for an arrest and prosecution.

you need more than you think it is X.......maybe then can set up a sting or you can install a camera
