Q: Can I report domestic violence a year and a half later in California?
I feel my now ex husband is going to come after me again because of information I have about him. I have a journal entry that he wrote that talks about choking me and coming after me (punched and broke through a door to get to me). Can I report, file or get restraining order even though the incidents happened in late 2014 and again in late 2015?
I have his written words admitting it. The journal discloses horrible things he did to his family without them knowing and I feel he will come after me knowing I have copies of the journal
