Q: Can we be sued for a dog bite, when the dog isn’t really ours?
There was this stray dog with scabs all over its body, this 22 y/o was walking and the dog bit her can they sue us even if the dog is not necessarily ours? We have our own dogs and we feed them and give them water and she would come feed from their food too, she didn’t seem to cause problems to us so we let her come eat as well.. but now they won’t believe that we don’t own her so is there anything we can do or should know?

If it wasn't on your property and you did not keep it on your property you are not responsible. Don't feed strays. Feed your dog on your property.Keep other dogs out.
However tell your homeowners and be guided by what they say.
