Q: the man I filled a domestic violence police report on was arrested, but got out a day later why was this?
what will happen next in this case? I've tried contacting the Police officer but no luck.
I had a discharge report from the doctors, pictures, still visible bruises and a busted lip

the police arrested him and then he either posted bail or they let him out OR....on his own promise to return.
he will have to appear at an arraignment where he pleads guilty or not guilty.
then there will be a preliminary hearing followed by another appearance of two before a trial if a plea can not be worked out.
