Grovetown, GA asked in Business Law, Employment Discrimination and Employment Law for Georgia

Q: if my employer grants me vacation time because I been with the company for a long time. Can they not pay me if I take it

My district supervisor and my store manager offered a week paid vacation because I've been with them for 10 years. My employer doesn't offer the benefits to employees but it was granted to me because of my long term employment. Before I took the vacation I asked many times was my time approved and I was told yes. So i took the vacation thinking everything was ok only to find out that I wasn't paid for it. Now they're telling me it wasn't approved, I feel betrayed and lied to. Is it possible that I can sue?
