Q: My parents DS260 was filed late Oct. with NVC office. When can they expect an interview? How soon could visa be issued?

With current immigration scenario under the new government. how could this impact my parents case?

A: I would estimate a 4-5 month wait for NVC to forward the documents to the US Consulate. Then the Consulate will contact you with the scheduled interview date- scheduling of the interview depends on the availability of the actual Consulate. Good luck!

A: The NVC usually schedules appointment about 90 days after they’ve received the application and all supporting documents. The notice comes about a month prior to the appointment. If your parents submitted the visa and everything else at the end of October, they should receive notification of their appointment in late December or early January. They will be notified if anything else is needed.
