Dallas, TX asked in Small Claims and Personal Injury for Texas

Q: can i take legal action against a place of business where employees on a team outing bullied me?

good morning... three people were out on a company outing, drinking heavily, and texting me harassing things. i have panic attacks all the time, and they're triggered by one of these individuals specifically (he is also my husband). i asked for them to stop bullying me and it kept going. we argued a little and finally i broke and was crying and screaming and had to go to the ER for my panic attacks. i'm also pregnant and was worried my extreme stress was hurting my baby. i told them i would email their job to let them know how awful they are during these team event... after that, one of them threatened to come by my home with "a message" which i take as a threat. they sent me a photo of themselves flipping me off. i did email their job all of this, but can i take legal action against the company? for harassment? to pay my ER bill? also I had an OBGYN appointment yesterday because I called to let them know what happened and they wanted to make sure everything was okay with my baby.

A: Unlikely as I believe I explained on a different post, but contact a member of the Texas Trial Lawyers Assn who handles employment matters--they give consults.I believe I suggested you talk to a counselor at a womens shelter to figure out what your options are as it sounds like an abusive/manipulative relationship. That advice still stands, and you should do that before worrying about online legal advice sites.
