I was given a deferred adjudication of 10yrs and register as a sex offender for life and no appeal to my case my lawyer did nothing to help me and now the defendant has filed a lawsuit against me do I have any protection from this law suit I am now barely surviving I had to file for bankruptcy to save my house and going thru divorce and bankruptcy and now this civil lawsuit what am I to do what else can they take I have no more to give with fees to probation and classes and bankruptcy taking out of employment check it's really stressing me out I am innocent of all this my wife lyed about these charged can anyone help me please
A: Hopefully you made sure the other person was included as a creditor in the bankruptcy and you are thus protected. Report his claim to that attorney.
